Meet Amber & John.
To put it simply, we go way back. Amber's been my best friend since high school. John and I also met in high school. I introduced them. We went to college together. Amber was my roommate, so basically John was too because he was always over.
They were my support system before Ryan took over the job. I love them.
Well Amber came over one day (which is fairly normal since we basically live across the street from each other... #BestFriendForeverDream) and she wanted to show me some jewelry she bought to get my approval. When I opened the box, it wasn't jewelry...
It was a positive pregnancy test. I cried. A lot. Happy tears of course. My hubby secretly was in on the surprise and recorded my reaction. I haven't decided yet if that video will EVER be shown. They were UGLY tears.
Then she told me John didn't know yet, but she had an idea on how to tell him... I was sold.
Cue photo shoot.
(Side note: A few days after we did this, we saw a viral post of another couple that did something similar. This idea came from Pinterest, NOT the viral posting. But hey... It's adorable. I think more people should do this!)
During the shoot, Amber mentioned she had a picture she thought would be cool. Write messages to each other. He laughed, but did it.
Of course, John immediately made it a contest on who could write the better message for the other.
Little did John know what Amber had up her sleeve.
Amber's message won hands down. I think John agreed.
The moment it clicks. Priceless.
After trying for some time now, they'd finally gotten their wish.
Best Day Ever.
Of course, then we needed the perfect Facebook announcement, so we waited a few weeks for some snow.
Of course, then John had to turn the snow into a contest. Amber fought back pretty well for a preggo.
... And you know I love the fur babies too.
Sweet Sadie doesn't even know what's in store for her come September. I have a feeling she'll be a protective big sister though.
Congrats to Amber and John! I'm so excited for what's in store. No matter what though, Little A.Corn is going to have some pretty amazing parents.
I can't believe my best friend is going to be a mommy. :)
