My First Love: A Story of Memphis Kindness

I was flooded with an idea - If she couldn't move her wedding, we could at least have a small ceremony where her daddy could walk her down the aisle followed by a small reception, and I would volunteer my photography services for it. So I reached out to a florist, hair/makeup artist, and a venue. When both agreed, I reached out to Nicole with PicStripPhotoBooth. She volunteered her photobooth, and said she could get us a DJ. So with that, I reached out to a baker, and an event planner, both agreed without hesitation. Before I knew it, within 3 hours time, I had a wedding full of vendors all volunteering their services. (A full list of all amazing vendors involved is at the end of this blog post).

So next, I needed to reach out to Lauren. I told her I had a team of vendors that were willing to ensure her daddy walked her down the aisle on March 13. It was just up to her if she was willing to accept. After an emotional conversation and many tears, Lauren and Bryant accepted the offer. She already had a dress, but her veil wouldn't be here in time. So I reached out to Molly Farrell with Maggie Louise, and she didn't even hesitate to donate a veil to our sweet bride.

The week leading up to the wedding, the forecast for the day called for storms all day. When we woke up Saturday morning, the sun was streaming through our windows. The rain held out all day. At one point, we looked at the radar and a circle of storm clouds was above us. But right in the middle was a hole... And in the hole was Annesdale Mansion. Then literally, the second we finished the reception exit, the sky opened up and it poured the rest of the night. We all knew God had His hand on us

A Moody Valentine's Editorial

Check out this amazing Moody Valentine shoot I did recently that was featured on The Bridal Theory.  We were so excited to work with these amazing vendors:

Set Design & Florals:  Everbloom Design

Baker:  17Berkshire

Venue:  South Front Antiques

The story that inspired our set designer goes a little like this:

Girl receives flowers and a note from her love. She returns the letter with an invitation to join her for tea.  She then bakes him a delicious dessert and creates a gorgeous tablescape with the treats and an arrangements of the flowers he sent her.

I hope you enjoy this session as much as I enjoyed being a part!  :)

A 17Berkshire-Inspired Styled Bridal Shower Brunch

So in case you weren't aware, Nuha with 17Berkshire is quickly becoming one of my favorite people in the world.  What I love about her treats is the fact that you get designer treats that taste homemade.  I didn't even like macarons (which is the correct spelling for the dainty little treats she makes - I looked it up) until I had one of her macarons.  I had the amazing opportunity to work with her again this past weekend for a 17Berkshire-Inspired Styled Bridal Shower Brunch (yes, I know that's a mouthful).  Nuha made Strawberry Cheesecake Chocolate Pyramids, a Caramel Drip Cake, Meringue Kisses, Croquembouche (the cream puff tower), Eclairs, and Raspberry Macarons.  My favorite part was eating it all after though.  :D Check it out below!  Also... Please take note that I have a new number one rule for my life - Gold leaf must be sprinkled on everything.. Always.  Please and thank you.

A Woodland Themed Baby Shower

Ok - So I know I go a bit overboard sometimes with baby showers.  I'm not sure I know how to just have a little shower.  Plus, it's a blast for me to plan all the details.  My best friend, Amber is due in a few weeks.  Ryan and I threw her and her hubby, John, a couple's baby shower.  I didn't get a picture of the invitation, but I put a screenshot of the PDF for you to see.  It was a woodland themed baby shower... Hence the 'chicken salad tree stumps', 'chocolate MOOSE', and 'Snow White and the 7 layer cheese dip'.  Oh, and don't forget the 'Happy Trails' Mix party favors. As sad as I am that the shower is over and I can't throw another until the spring for my baby brother, I am so pumped that we are now in 'waiting' mode for Finley.  Words can't express how much this family means to me.  I can't WAIT to meet little A'corn.  One thing is for sure, she has many warm hugs ahead of her.  So here it is... And make sure you check out the AMAZING cake and treat towers from 17Berkshire!  She is FANTASTIC!

Blue Suede Shoes - A Memphis Inspired Wedding

I had the amazing opportunity to work with some world class Memphis vendors on this incredible styled shoot this past weekend.  They took this theme and truly brought it to life.  The overall goal wasn't to make it 'in-your-face-Memphis', but rather... If Elvis Presley were sitting at the table, what would he want in front of him.  I think it worked out perfectly.  From our beautiful model's blue suede shoes to the gold detail in the tablescape.  From the luscious flowers on the modern acryllic table, to the gold dusted blueberries and macaroons.  From the gorgeous Paloma Blanca gown on our wavy-haired and peachy-toned model, to the stunning invitation suite... I am so overwhelmed with the greatness involved in this session, and I feel so truly honored to have had to opportunity to work with such amazing people.
